FlipTurn Terms of Service

This is a beta-stage placeholder. The lawyer-reviewed terms will be published before the beta opens beyond currently invited testers. By using the beta you accept the placeholder terms below as written.

1. About FlipTurn

FlipTurn ("the Service") is a swim-tracking application operated by SkallywagDesigns LLC ("the Operator"), a Virginia limited liability company, at app.myflipturn.com. It is intended for parents, guardians, swimmers, and coaches in the United States.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a FlipTurn account.
Children under 13 may not create accounts. Parents or legal guardians create profiles for minors as part of their family and are solely responsible for the data entered on a minor's behalf.
By signing up, you confirm you are authorized to manage data for any minor you add to your family.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email current and your session secure.
One account per real person. Don't share credentials.
The data you enter (swims, swimmer profiles, meet history) belongs to you. The Operator stores and serves it back to you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload data about minors who are not in your legal care.
Scrape, mass-export, or attempt to bypass the Service's access controls.
Use the Service to harass, dox, or expose minors' performance data without parental consent.
Reverse-engineer or attempt to disrupt the Service.
Resell access or wrap the Service in a third-party product without written agreement.

5. Sharing

Sharing a swimmer's data with another family, coach, team, or club requires an explicit share grant initiated by an admin parent of that swimmer's family. Recipients of a share grant receive read-only access to the specific data scope granted; they cannot re-share.

6. Service availability

FlipTurn is in beta. The Service is provided "as is," with no uptime guarantee. Maintenance windows and outages will happen. The Operator may roll back data or restore from backup if a critical bug ships, with a best-effort notice in the app or to the admin parent's email.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, missed meets, or incorrect age-group placement. Always verify NVSL division and meet results with your team's official records.

8. Changes to these terms

Updates to these terms are versioned. The version you accepted at signup (or any subsequent re-acceptance) is recorded in the audit log along with your consent action. Material changes will require re-acceptance before continued use.

9. Termination

You may close your account and request deletion of your family's data at any time by emailing the Operator at skallywagdesigns@gmail.com. During the beta, account closure and data-deletion requests are handled by email; in-app self-service is in development. The Operator may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when practical.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. The beta is US-only.
